  33. Hosts often have idle timeouts.  If you don't send them any characters
  34. on a Telnet connection for a certain amount of time (whatever the host's
  35. idle timeout is), the host logs you out.  The same thing might happen
  36. in your router or firewall.  One solution is to always "press a key"
  37. at least once every xx minutes, where xx is the idle timeout.

  40. automatically, such as C-Kermit 7.1:
